Headache is a display sans-serif built to be noticed. Headlines, posters, wordmarks, campaign titles — anywhere contrast and presence matter more than subtlety. It’s been in use since 2017, downloaded hundreds of thousands of times. The Pro version is the complete edition: refined uppercase, true lowercase, full Latin extended character set.
Headache started as a caps-only display font in 2017. The aesthetic landed fast – something between futuristic and deliberately chaotic – and it spread across album covers, brand projects, merch, and editorial work in a way that was hard to predict and harder to explain.
The Pro version fixes the one thing that was always wrong with it. The original had a second “style” that was just the uppercase letters with minor variations, barely useful, visually inconsistent. That’s gone. In its place: actual lowercase letters, designed from scratch to work alongside the uppercase. Same character. Better execution.
The uppercase has been refined too. Not redesigned – the personality is intact – but the rougher inconsistencies from the original have been resolved. It’s the same font, done properly.
Headache is a single-style display typeface. It’s built for short, high-impact setting: headlines, titles, wordmarks, poster copy. It’s not a body text font. Use it where you need something to hold attention, and pair it with something quieter for everything else.
